Over the course of 7 years at American Greetings, I often was responsible for animation, motion graphics, and special effects for mulitple projects. Some were simple product demos, and others were a part of the ideation - innovation process. As an innovation team, we were always tasked with exploring multiple ways of solving a problem for any one of the American Greetings brands (yes there's more than one). The best way to explain our concepts or ideas was not by just a written statement, or mocks, but a full thoughout app or product experience in video form.
In a recent count, the number of videos I created was near 100. There are so many, it's hard to choose favorites, or those that best show skills. I often swap videos out on this page every few months, just to refresh the portfolio. The videos below range in years from 2007 to 2014 and required varying levels of Affect Effects skills: masking - rotoscoping, keying, world building, and 3D.
Hackdays were my favorite part of the year. I always did the project alone, many years in a row I placed in the top 5 projects.
